2019 Ms. Full-Figured D.M.V. Plus 1st Runner Up & Ms. Full-Figured D.M.V. Swimwear Queen Necol Scott
A reformed woman of honor, strength, love, prosperity, healing, and rebuilding —Necol Scott has hit the lowest of lows having struggled with mental illness and experiencing trauma due to molestation, rape, verbal and physical abuse, poverty, and a lack of self respect. However, 2017 changed her life forever.
Born in Houston, Texas, The Friendly State and later moving to Montgomery County, Maryland, Necol attended Montgomery County Public Schools and later received her GED in 2006. Having also attended Montgomery College and The Art Institute of Washington, she is currently in her first year at Morgan State University where she is pursuing a double major in Psychology and Theatre. Class of 2023
Most of her jobs were in the food industry which caused her to become compassionate about food and the foodie atmosphere. However, her passion is firmly rooted in her social activism and love of volunteering in her community. The devote wife, mother of 9, grandmother of 4, makes giving back to others her top priority. So much so that she was recognized for her community work in 2009 when she received the prestigious Governors Award for volunteering at the Stepping Stone shelter, Habitat for Huminaty, Manna Food Center, Julie’s Love, The City of Gaithersburg, and most recently at There is Hope Christian Church’s area food bank.
Her lifelong dream is start her own Healing and Wellness center, and to become an established writer, director, and executive producer of movies and television shows that she has created. Already an accomplished author of her June 2017 book, Not Built to Break, I Am Free (available on Amazon and kindle), this represents a pivotal shift in her life. Her autobiography allowed her to release and realize that before anything she had to be honest with Herself. The book poignantly details the storms in her life and reaffirms her message that SHE WAS THE STORM, that she is a warrior and that she is a survivor.
This woman, wife, mother, and grandmother has fought to become the woman she is today and the woman she will be. Committed to healing and wellness rebuilding, so she can teach others to heal generations before and after her, she is a remarkable survivor and living proof that we are more than what we have endured. Eloquently put... She is Necol Scott.
