2019 Ms. Full-Figured D.M.V. Plus Queen
Janee' Stewart
Janee' L. Stewart was born and raised in the nation's capital, Washington, DC. She started modeling at age 3, when her mom brought her first pair of heels. At age 14, she joined the Friendship Collegiate Academy Marching Band as a flag girl, as well as the modeling team. Janee' made sure to break the barriers that big girls can't do what skinny girls can do. She wanted to pursue her dream of becoming a plus size model and joined different troupes in the DMV area. She became the "STORM" and took on every runway by force. She studied Psychology at Dillard University in New Orleans, Louisiana and while attending she became a member of Gamma Sigma Sigma National Service Sorority Incorporated. She later transferred home to further her education of being certified as an Information Technologist. In 2015, she began working at the Department of Employment Services as a Workforce Development/Quality Control Specialist Until 2018. She then started working for Friendship Collegiate Academy as an Administrative Assistant. She thought why not give back to the school that molded and shaped her for the real world. She also decided to go back to her stomping grounds and became the Flag Coach, of the Friendship Collegiate Academy Marching Knights. Janee' is a member of New St. James Pentecostal Church in North Brentwood, MD. She is a member of the praise team, ensemble, as well as chair of the youth department and the dance and mime ministry. During her free time, she enjoys traveling and the city night life. She received the amazing opportunity to showcase as a plus model in New York Fashion Week's Street Show, in which she showcased the A+ Los Angeles Boutique. Janee' favorite saying is, "Never allow your past to determine your future. Be TRUE. Be FIERCE. Be YOU!" L
